TESDA NATIONAL ASSESSMENTS

National Certificate (NC) is issued when a candidate has demonstrated competence in all units of competency that comprised a Qualification (e.g. Photography NC II or Visual Graphic Design NC III). Valid for five (5) years.

The assessment process seeks to determine whether the graduate or worker can perform to the standards expected in the workplace based on the defined competency standards. This ensures the productivity, quality and global competitiveness of the middle-level workers.

Photography NC II

The PHOTOGRAPHY NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to take pictures of people, places, objects, and events and tries to artistically capture and evoke a mood, feeling, or drama surrounding a particular subject using a camera. The work of a photographer is not only limited to the actual use of the camera and proper lighting, but also includes all of the steps in the development of the image up to the presentation of the final product.

Visual Graphic Design NC III

The VISUAL GRAPHIC DESIGN NC III Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to design and develop visual graphic designs for (i) print media; (ii) electronic media; (iii) product packaging; and (iv) booth and product/window display.

Photography NC II

  1. Digital SLR with kit lens or other kind of lens with wide to telephoto that the candidate has;
    Note: If using a mirrorless camera, make sure the camera has a hot shoe and works with any remote flash trigger. Please bring your own adapter for the flash trigger if your camera needs one.
  2. Formatted memory card. Memory cards should not contain any files.

Assessment candidates, assessors, processing officer and AC manager must adhere and/or enforce all of the following policies when taking or administering an assessment at a TESDA Accredited Assessment Center.

  • Be present at the scheduled date and assigned venue of assessment indicated in the Admission Slip.
  • Don’t forget to bring your admission slip on the assessment date.
  • Bring all other lacking documents or for resubmission.
  • Upon arrival at the testing center, assessment candidates must present their personal identification bearing a photograph and signature.
  • Don’t forget to bring all the required things to bring (e.g. black ballpen, camera & lenses for photography assessment).

Important Notes:

    • Confirmed candidate who’ll not show up on the assessment day will be marked as “Absent” and payment will be forfeited and considered used
    • Full payment will be charged for re-assessment.

CACW – Competency Assessment and Certification for Workers 
Note: This free assessment is for employed workers only. The program aims to inform the industry workers about the importance of getting certified and encourage them to undergone assessment. Candidates are required to submit a certificate of employment (COE) or any certification that they are an industry workers.

All applicants will be required to submit the following:

  1. Duly accomplished Application Form
  2. Properly and completely filled-out Self Assessment Guide (SAG)
  3. Four pieces of passport-size colored photo
    – white background
    – shirt with collar
    – with name in front (digital name is acceptable)
  4. Photocopy of any valid government ID (with full name and correct spelling).
