SUMMARY:Basic Video Production (Face to Face)
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-day theory and hands-on training on the basics of the pre-production, production, and post production process such as: storytelling, scriptwriting and storyboarding, the production staff, camera operations, directing, lighting, editing, and more.\nDay 1 will cover the theory part from pre‐production to post production. There will also be a hands-­on take home assignment to be checked the following day.\nDay 2 will cover the post production stage and an actual short video production (group) activity that will be produced by the participants and viewed at the day’s end.\nNote: Different video clips and photos will be shown and analyzed during the 2-day workshop. The instructor will also share valuable insider information on the industry. He may adjust, highlight, add/subtract certain topics depending on the students’ needs.\nMethod of Teaching\nFace to face onsite classroom learning delivery.\nWhat will be covered\n\nIntroduction\n\nHistory, philosophy, and art of cinema\nFilm versus video\n\n\nStages of production and administration\n\nPre production, production, post production\nFunctions of the producer, writer, director, etc.\n\n\nTools and elements of videography\n\nCamera, lens, mounting\n\n\nCinematic Properties\n\nShot composition, basic lighting, camera movement, effects, etc\n\n\n\nBy the end of the workshop, participants should be able to produce, write, direct, and shoot a 3–5 minute video project.\nRequirements:\nParticipants who have their own digital camcorders or DSLR camera are encouraged to bring them to class.\nBenefits\n\nIncludes certificate of completion\nLifetime Free Refresher  (You may attend again the same course,  free of charge, on a space-available basis.)\nAlumni discount\n\n\n\n\n
